The phone call is your secret weapon. It is a tool for you to get close to women from any time and location. And if you do it right, it will work like a charm.

When I first meet a girl I send a text so she has my phone number. She can avoid answering the phone, but she cannot avoid reading an initial text. This makes it so she has my number so when I call later she will see it is me.

The thing with phone calls is that it shows courage. It is nerve wracking to call someone you barely know and have a conversation with them where you cannot see their face.

The other advantage of a phone call is that it distinguishes you from the pack. She is invited out all the time via text by guys she barely knows. But answering the phone she has to recall who you are.

This is why I do a hybrid game of phone call and text message. Here is my process:

  1. Send initial text so she has my number in her phone.

  2. Call her. If she answers: ask her out on a date. If she doesn't answer: leave a brief voicemail saying it was nice to meet you, then text her asking her out.

  3. Only leave one voicemail at a time, never double text.

Think of it this way: it is more powerful to say "how are you?" on the phone than it is to text "how are you?". It is the same statement, yet the medium it is conveyed with totally changes the impact.

Final Thoughts:

  1. People love their name more than all the names in the world combined. When you introduce yourself be sure to say their name emphatically.

  2. Keep your conversations brief and to the point. Think of the phone call as a verbal text message. You keep your texts short, you keep your phone calls short.

  3. Always have a reason for calling. It can be anything. Recently there was an upcoming storm in my area, so when I left a message in their phone it was notifying them of the storm and that they should stay safe.

Conclusion: Be bold, be different, stand out from the crowd. Use texting's strengths where applicable and phone call's strengths where applicable.
