"Better than dog anyhow."
I think a dog won't nag you to death.
[–]wawakaka9 points10 points11 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
so true
dogs are more honest than women
if you ever need a bff get a dog.
[–]JackRooks5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I'll take a bad dog over a good woman any day of the week.
[–]Eyes_Of_The_Dragon0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Bad dogs shit on your carpet.
Bad women shit on your life, claim it's all your fault, and play victim.

And remember, this was written when women actually acted like women - this list is from when marriage was at it's best for men.
[–]mgtowmathers26 points27 points28 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Right, at it's best it was hardly worth the trouble. Now it's just ridiculous.

And we are talking about Darwin -- the guy who made major contributions to evolutionary theory. Surely he understands the evolutionary need to copulate and live with women. And he still thought it wasn't worthwhile!

He spent time with animals in the wild. These animals had no legal system, so many male animals pumped and dumped the females.

"Less money for books?!? Fuck that hoe." - Charles Darwin, probably.

Man, what's the modern equivalent of conversing with clever men at clubs?
[–][deleted] 27 points28 points29 points 9 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
This subreddit.

I would join a Gentleman's club in an instant.
Bar. Cigars. Pool tables. A gym. Stuffed armchairs, couches and a huge TV for sports and Vidya.
Why don't we have these any more?
[–][deleted] 21 points22 points23 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Cause all male spaces would be considered sexist and shut down by women.
[–]Coluphid8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
There are female only gyms. So there's legal precedent for gender exclusivity. Let's bring back gentlemen's clubs.
[–]T00000096 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You can't, they were driven out of existence by women suing over sexual discrimination, the same way women sued to be able to play in the Masters. Since it's founding only men could win the green jacket, but as always women had to be made equal so they forced their way in.
Same happened in the 1900's when women forced their way into the mens clubs and eventually ruined them when they gained entry, the last one closed in the 30's and none have ever returned.
[–]PM_YOUR_TRIGGERS0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh you.
[–]AussiePhil824 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
In the clubs he's referring to there would be conversations about science that would go on to change the world.
Women don't talk about science and stuff like that because all they care about us make up, clothes, shoes and handbags.
[–]Gibitto0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And the ones who are in the universities "researching" are there just to play the social game of that space and to show to the society how intelligent and equivalent to a man she is, even though she is researching about gender or the impacts of flowers in the enchanted forest.

Third wave feminism.

Ive told all my mates that anytime there wives are given them trouble I e always, there is a club just for them, my place. The solitude place where they can get away and chill.
[–]verynormalsimple0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They don't need to explain anything, it's just vagina.
[–]wawakaka0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
cause most males are pussy hungry
besides in the past relationships had to follow a certain protocol there was a lot of courting.
these days there is tinder just swipe.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I was afraid it would be limited to a virtual space.

This gave me a really good idea for a real-world mgtow meeting if anyone ever wanted to try it. Rent out a building that wasn't being used for anything anyway once a month or so for the gentleman's club idea, but don't advertise it beyond word of mouth with other men you know you could trust. It probably wouldn't last too long for obvious reasons, but it'd be fun to try for a while.
[–]armaadi0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Sports, clubs, leagues, vidya, etc.
So much more stuff to do these days than in the 1800s.
[–]KamiMoon14 points15 points16 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Darwin lived in the 1800s and it was not a good deal even then.
The list can be updated for today:

[–]FoxIslander8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
...proves that all this has been going on for at least 200 years. Wouldnt be surprised if the same thing is inscribed on the walls a some cave somewhere in charcoal.

[–]andreas-mgtow5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
He's whole "Reasons to Marry" list is gone in modern times.
Also, if I could tell Darwin anything, I'd tell him that I dreamed of science and discovery as a young boy, reading his account of the Voyage of the Beagle.
[–]Flaye23 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And all of his listed upsides don't even exist these days.
[–]freethinker19762 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I too enjoy conversation with clever men at clubs.
Clubs that will be banned today because no women are allowed.
[–]Sol_Install2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It is very bad for one's health to work too much. And Japanese wonder why men opt out. Women wonder why men opt out. Everyone is baffled. What man wants a life of hard work to benefit everyone else but get nothing back in return?

Fun fact: He married and had children with his first cousin, and referred to her as "Mummy" in his letters to her. I'll leave it to the Freudians to figure that out.
So marriage was bad even then.
