Funny enough, it was a woman who taught me to not help women.

We were at a beach resort enjoying a movie in our room when some serious drama started somewhere on our floor. Yelling, cursing, the sound of slapping as far as I could tell, then screaming.

Betacuck me back then got up and said "alright that's it I'mma check it out", feeling pumped and completely justified to lay on some regulation in this perceived damsel-in-distress situation and all. My SO gripped my arm hard, looked me in the eyes and said "no". I still think of that woman occasionally; I mean AWALT, but at least she had my back that night, which is more than I can say about anyone since.

They did this to me at my other job!! There were like, 5 women in there cleaning a closet. I was IT. One of them came walking all the way to my office to ask me to move a few boxes of copier paper.

I get there, look, see that that's what it is, then proceed to ask them why they are asking me to move them.

Then one of them gets "upset", and says they don't "need me", and then she just picks them up herself and moves them.

I'm like, "If you didn't need me, why did you call me?"

So stupid.

I heard this funny story of a russian dude who asked to help a woman(in Russia always).

So it was some neighborhood and this chick and her female ~~friends~~ wanted help moving some furniture(she was moving or sth). So she asked him to help them moving the sofa. He replied something like ''alright, then i want you to clean my apartment''. She was kinda confused because she did not understood why he said all of that. She said ''what? Why should i clean your apartment?'' he - ''why not? You want me to help you with the moving, should i not get something in return?'' she - ''i am not a cleaner, go to hell''. So in the end she got insulted by his behavior but he did not help her. She threw a ''you are not a ''real'' man'' afterwards.

Today, a woman asked me to tutor her. For free. As in, I'd have to go out of my way. I didn't agree to it, instead I said "read the book, pay attention in class, and review the study material online. That's what I do." I then walked away. That's about all she's going to get.
