It wouldn't matter because of a variety of factors. Here are the two most prominent ones.
No matter how many men vote there will always be more women voting. The last time this voting discrepancy happened there was a whole lot of shooting and the result was almost 1,000,000 American dead. This is why the south called Abe Lincoln a sectional president. He didn't appear on any southern state ballot and still carried the majority of votes.
At the current rate, there's going to be shooting again and the body count will hit WWII levels.

Forgetting how many men work jobs that either make it impossible or difficult enough to not bother to vote

I apologize for that, but in the US there is absentee voting. That means that isn't an excuse.

[–]MadPreacher1AD2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We're already at war with North Korea and China. There never was a peace treaty signed.

I wish they had huge-asses. Maybe then Korea would be worth visiting...

Why do you think that the Democrat's new push is for Single Mom's?
[–]dogwoodcat4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Singe mom's what?
[–]Thatstunk6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think he’s getting at the fact that single moms are heavily reliant on the government, and democrats are in favor of big government. So, the more single moms you have, then the more votes the democrats get

I think he’s getting at the fact that apostrophe shouldn’t be there.

Are we talking about the US? Not like votes even matter. If your election hasn't already been fixed by some voting machine scandal, it's been fixed by the randomly chosen electoral college.
The biggest illusion of choice ever.
[–]delta9mm7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
You obviously have no idea how the electoral college works or why the electoral college exists.
[–]mthrowaway525 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Democrat in a red state? Your vote is worth nothing. Republican in a blue state? Your vote is also worth nothing.
Let's do some quick math. Wyoming has 3 votes. California has 55. California has 39,250,000 people. Wyoming has 582,000 people.
Wyoming one Wyoming vote represents 194,000 people. One California vote represents 713,636 people. In order words, a single Wyoming citizen is worth about 3.7 California citizens.
Even then last year we had 7 faithless electors. Essentially throwing away roughly 1.3% of the vote. Given 200 million registered voters, that means that roughly 2.6 million votes were thrown away because reasons.
Don't give me that distorted map of the US crap that people like to pull. That only a small piece of the country landmass size would be ruling. It should be like that, for better or worse
[–]delta9mm4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
The reason why the college exists is so that that 1 persons vote in Wyoming is EQUAL to 3.7 peopls vote in California. That way California and New York won't be able to dictate politics to people who don't live there.
Go back to school. If the college didn't exist then 3 cities, New York, Chicago, and Las Angeles, with only 10 million people in total, would be able to dictate politics. Now THAT is unfair.
[–]mthrowaway520 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I know why it exists. I know that's the reason. I still think it's stupid and suppressing voters.
[–]delta9mm0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
direct democracies can't work, dude. Besides, if the college didn't exist then the US would be a one party country and all the other parties would be regional and state level only. and then we'd be at serious risk of a civil war.
Besides, the college isn't suppressing voters, its suppressing the 2/3rds of the population that could have outright control of the system. Besides the US is a representative democracy.

"...a single Wyoming citizen is worth about 3.7 California citizens."
Only 3.7? Wyoming must be devalued as well.

It's disturbing you're getting downvoted for this comment, when it's clear you are correct.

It’s not that the electoral college is random, it was set up over 200 years ago, and it seemed like a good idea to the slave owning farmers.
[–]Trumpsterbaby223 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
It's still a good idea to people who don't have their head shoved up their ass.
[–]PappaSmurfAndTurf-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Please explain how the electoral college is not fucking moronic.
[–]Trumpsterbaby224 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I dunno, maybe because it guarantees elections are more than CA, TX, NY and FL?
[–]PappaSmurfAndTurf0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You mean where all the jobs and people are?
[–]Trumpsterbaby224 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

something on this thread.. ..and civility..
i'm indifferent to the electorate college, though something needs to be in place, which is like it..
if some system is not in place, imagine all states, where the majority of people live in a major city.. cities vote for city entities, buses, trains, libraries, fire stations, police, sheriff, parks, etc., etc...
rural areas vote for rural entities, farms, waterways, livestock, agriculture..
if all states had a populace of 6 million people and had only one big city, voting would occur something like this,
all city needs - 4.5 million votes
all rural needs - 1.5 million votes
politicians would only cater to cities, then eventually drain rural funding altogether, likely stopping upkeep on the rural needs, roadways, waterways, etc., given rural voting would mean, nothing..
cities would always tip the balance, in their favor, given the density of the populace, which eventually would bankrupt the rural areas, meaning no more farms/agriculture/livestock..
electorate college allows for representatives to represent all zones of a state, cities and rural, so equal voting for all roles up for federal voting..
least in theory..
..and this is just an explanation of how/why..
cheers

This is why it will NEVER get better; as long as women represent the bigger voting bloc, the system will always toss them the bigger bone to ensure the votes come their way. Race tends to be split along party lines, but given the number of women that voted for Trump, it's clear that BOTH parties have an incentive to cater to their needs.
As MGTOW increases alongside the rest of the MRA movement, things are going to get even more punitive, because statistically men are going to be asked to support an even more bloated support system that will favor everyone but them. I'm not saying full-on bachelor tax, because that strikes me as just patently illegal and would eventually be defeated in court, but there's a dozen other ways they can bleed the breadwinners.
Eventually, it'll reach a crisis point where either men collectively wake up and refused to be fucked over, or the whole house of cards comes crashing down as the economy can no longer afford to keep land whales decked out in box wine and bon bons. Sweden is basically the canary in the mines for how all of this is going to unfold, so read any articles about what happens there, because chances are it's only a few years until you see it here as well.
One of the key reasons why politicians pander to women voters.

i vote with my wallet; 100000x times more powerful than a ballet switch men like me, stopped buying marvel comics. suddenly they are crying. we stopped dating women and paying for frivolous things; cue more crying. i voted for some guy running for office. EVERYTHING WAS EXACTLY THE SAME; though my taxes went up. every man on the planet could vote tomorrow and it would be the same but if every man stopped paying taxes. the whole fucking world, as we know it, would implode.

Your vote doesn't matter. Women will always vote for what they perceive to be their own interests, and the majority of men will support them. The only vote that counts is the one you make with your feet as you walk away.
That's admitting defeat. And I'm not going to throw in the towel like that.
[–]comptejete0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If you thought you could become a velociraptor as a child, growing up and realizing it was a foolish dream is not admitting defeat, it's accepting the limits of reality. I think that the available evidence suggests that ideological solutions to biological predispositions are similarly unrealistic.
[–]Mindraker[S] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If you think politicians ignore you NOW, then just wait what happens when you stop voting altogether. Seriously, people.

My google skills are failing me, and I can't find who said this or when, but I recall an old saying that was popular a few decades ago:
In the battle of the sexes, only the women showed up
Not only do women outnumber men by a small margin, but they do tend to be more politically active. It's why any sort of "men's rights" movement is laughed off the political radar whenever it gains even the smallest traction. Yet every politician (with the exception of Trump) is so quick to get behind any "women's rights" movement, no matter how ludicrous it may be.
Trump could have gotten behind men's rights without looking like a total dickhead.
But at least something is being done to shake up the system.

TheSystem as been captured for a long time now. Some say since We surrendered our central banking to a cartel. One votes now to avoid the most rabid fimmunist candidate, not to ensure any semblance of democracy. Both parties are essentially managed by the same plutocrats.

This is the reason the West is headed for collapse. Women think the purpose of government is to give women free stuff. So they vote for politicians that write them a blank check. it's only a matter of time before the system collapses under it's own weight.
