Hi all, a couple weeks ago I posted a survey link here (see post) and so far over 100 of you have filled it out! Thanks for those who filled it out. The results were interesting and I'll share them below. You can also see the results and pie charts if you click through to the survey link from that post.

Privacy of the survey: No personal information was collected. No emails, account names, or anything that can be tied back to you.

Demographics

Age:

1/3 of you were between 25-34

1/3 between 35-50

1/5 between 18-24.

Country:

61% were in the US

13% in Canada

6% in the UK

Many, many other countries were represented, from Mongolia to the Maldives!

Education:

1/3 had a bachelor's (4-year) degree

5 had a PhD or doctoral degree

Relationships

Currently:

81% were single

9% were married

8% in a relationship

2% dating

Previous relationships:

65% had been in a relationship before but not married

20% had divorced

There were other answers as well. One answer: "Single and never had a GF. Used to feel bad about it but then realized, "Who tf cares?" and then I went my own way."

Have you sworn off relationships and dating altogether?:

MGTOW Community

How did you hear about MGTOW?

Half had heard about it through Reddit

29% through YouTube

1 from a "random blog", and 1 "just found it."

When did you join the MGTOW community, here or elsewhere?

1/3 joined 6 months to 1 year ago, but results were all across the board, with 1/5 joining over 2 years ago.

Overall opinion of r/MGTOW on a scale 1-5? 47% gave it a 5, 42% gave a 4.

Overall opinion of Reddit on a scale 1-5? Answers were a bell curve, with 43% giving it a 3.

Are you active in other MGTOW communities?

80% followed MGTOW YouTubers or podcasters

34% were active on MGTOW.com.

There was also representation from r/MGTOW2, r/socialjusticeinaction, Facebook, and goingyourownway.com.

The following two questions were open-ended so I'll include lists of the answers, as they were quite interesting.

What changes, if any, would you make to r/MGTOW?

Answers here mostly revolved around having fewer hate posts and more posts about "going your own way" and self-improvement.

Common topic: Going Your Own Way

• The idea that there has to be a core set of ideals for MGTOW. It’s just about freedom and breaking free from injustice.
• Concentrate more on helping men and less on hating on women
• Less bitching about women. More men actually going their own way.
• More focus on self improvement, more tips and advice threads for self improvement.
• Stop talking about incel.
• Less hate posts.
• Less bashing, more positivity "this is what I did today" "this is how to xyz"
• More focus on self actualization.
• Chill with the extreme posts and be more respectful, be the "Bigger Men" and just go our own way, not make a big deal about it. Thats what women do.
• Less hate/focus on women. I prefer to love everyone, because we are all one. It’s counterproductive to hate on women. Going our own way should be more about going our own way.
• More focused on men.
• Less anger, more male improvement/empowerment
• There's too much straight up woman hate in here.
• More lifestyle topics, finance-health fitness
• Less bitching more MGTOW
• Less bitching. More doing.
• Less whining, more proactive stances. More tips on making the most of GYOW

Other topics:

• Do a better job dealing with retarded trolls tryna get us banned.
• Member only community prove you're mgtow hate the trolls
• Ban women pretending to be men and ban anyone that part takes in female subs.
• Moderate for conspiracy/political points of view. I see this as a DIY subject and mentioning anything off topic dilutes the message.
• Hope that it doesn’t become a group think identity and it leads to having more men life independent and fulfilled lives
• Shut the white knights up
• Have a more firm backup when reddit shuts it down.
• Less red pill rage, less trump alt/right garbage
• Less talk about Islam or any religion
• Sometimes the commenters are absolutely enraged by their life experiences. While relevant, I cant help but take their good sounding advice with a grain of salt.

Any additional comments?

This seemed to go straight into political views, probably because the question right before it asked, "Do you believe your country in general is headed in the right or wrong direction? (79\% said wrong direction, 16\% neutral, 3\% unsure, 2\% right direction).

• Taxation is theft. Abolish the IRS. Abolish divorce laws, legalize escorts, stay single, fuck and be merry, no commitment
• I'm still open to dating if a girl comes. Even then, nothing serious and only 1 - 6 months. But hey, no girl has ever liked me anyway, so I think I'm good ;)
• Feminism and captialism have robbed women of their feminity and have turned them into subpar men incapable of keeping up with even the most average of man. The only thing women are good for are sex and nothing else due to their very limited skill set.
• Keep up the good work
• With the knowledge we have, we can weather any crisis!

• MGTOW is about finding your solution. Verifiable facts should underlie any reasoning, so we can make informed choices.
