Man, if you’re stupid enough to marry some deadbeat chick who doesn’t carry her own wait as a partner then that’s your own lapse in judgement. That’s not the fault of marriage as an idea. No. The thing wrong with marriage is monogamy. If you chose to marry some deadbeat who drains your resources it’s because you fucked up.

All chicks are deadbeats. Even if they're working...they spend more money than they bring in. In other words, they're a liability.

My wife has not done that a single month we’ve been together for 8 years. She’s got a solid career - first 3-4 years she was earning more than me. Now I earn slightly more. She grew up living frugally and doesn’t blow money on stupid shit. She buys makeup etc which is a cost but I also spend a shit ton on PlayStation and gaming so it all evens out.
Sure, I got a great lady, but if you settle then that’s on you. The big thing this sub needs to change is that all women are vampires. When you use words like all or always to describe things, you’re usually wrong.

Wait for it. In my case, it took 15 years.

What happened 15 years in?

D.I.V.O.R.C.E...cost me $300K (lawyers fees not incl)

I’m sorry dude. $300k. That sucks. How much did it cost her? I’m assuming she also had to pay an attorney? Also how does this equate to “Even if they're working...they spend more money than they bring in”.
I don’t mean to lack sympathy in asking this, but what point are you trying to make...that your marriage didn’t work out and divorces cost money? And your personal experience alone somehow confirms all women being vampires?

My ex-wife and I brought in almost 10K/mo after taxes....our visa bill was horrendously high (ex. she was paying $600+/mo just for disposable contacts)...when she left my visa bill rarely gets to $2k (usually goes above $2K around X'mas time or when I go on vacation to exotic parts of the world). So, while she earned equal to what I was making...she spent all of hers and almost all of mine on crap.

Yes and I’m sure she didn’t start making shitty financial decisions after getting married. There were red flags. You ignored them.

Well...I guess your decisions are perfect and you've got the perfect wife. Good on you. So, why exactly are you at this website? By the way, I blame myself for being a simp and believing the fantasy.
And the only thing it cost her was her time. The only thing she paid for was the gas and parking to get to the arbitrator and half the arbitrator's fees. Everything else was paid for out of my bank account.
You got a lawyer when in arbitration? The entire point of arbitration is you don’t need to hire an attorney...what was the $300k? Splitting assets?
She took three years off to attend law school (99-02) and then she was out of work from 05 to Oct 07....In that time frame, I not only paid all the bills (which included child care expenses--because "she needed to be able to talk to employers") but I also made great inroads in paying off the mortgages on the two properties we owned. I consider all that money--MINE because I was the sole income earner. So, while technically it was a splitting of assets--it was me giving up assets I had paid for by literally putting my ass on the firing line when I deployed overseas (three times) to make more money. And yes, I needed a lawyer for legal advice. If your soon to be ex-wife who is a lawyer tells you while she's divorcing you that you won't need a lawyer--you'd trust her?

Add: Children who share his DNA but hate him because of what their mother says about him on a daily basis and because he has abandoned them (they don't know that's due to her false accusations of sexual abuse or as leverage against him and to hurt him.)
