Went to my childhood friend's house today who got a baby after 6 years of trying. Didn't feel like going since don't see the point in celebrating something of that sort but whatever.

Guy has bought a bigger house even though he can't afford it just for the baby.

Had to sleep in another room since the baby cries all the time and since he is the bread winner, he tries to get proper sleep for work tomorrow morning.

Wife stopped cooking since she says it's a c-section baby. Stopped breast feeding as it hurts her ribs.

Expenses are through the roof.

He has bags under his eyes.

All they do is sit at home and watch Netflix. That's exactly what they did last night as well.

He started bragging about how he doesn't let anything run short for his wife. New baby clothes. Tons of baby formula. What not.

Told me how happy he is to be married and have a kid. And that I should get married too and it is worth it.

I asked him: if you were to give this all away and go back to how you were 10 years ago when you were single, would you do it? He hesitated and then a faint "of course man".

Men, learn from other people's mistake. And GYOW.
