The opposite of this story happened to me.

I bought a house and they left a plant. A friend told me it was a rubber plant, so I didn't bother watering it. I realized my mistake when I saw the leaves falling off. oops!

(In my defense, I did love radiohead, and the lyrics to 'fake plastic trees' immediately came to mind "a green plastic watering can for a fake chinese rubber plant".)

God, on that note... it's so cringe when a woman pulls out the 'I'm not your mother' card. Sure, I bet there are plenty of working women with baby ass bums (that they picked). But I swear, they can and will pull this out when they just don't feel like doing something. Do they feel they are 'mothering' a cat when they clean it's box and feed it? Are the 'mothering' the dog when they spend 20 min a day petting it? No.

But if she's gotta throw in an extra load of laundry, prepare an extra chicken breast, or give you a massage .... "He wanted a mother not a wife...." bahahaha fml.
