Quarantine Beards

I’m like 3 weeks past due for a haircut and decided to quit shaving. I don’t want people to fuck with me so the more I look “unfriendly” the better. If the whole fucking manure pile hits the fan and the United States falls to 30% unemployment, the last thing I want is people thinking I have money because I’m clean cut. I lucked out cause I filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy in Dec and just got my discharge paper last week. I’m now debt free except my $700 mortgage and $200 car payment. I also quit wearing my Canada Goose jacket here in Alaska. I think the days of expensive clothes is over. I know a lot of people who’ve lost their jobs and there’s no way this will recover overnight. Plus Alaska’s main revenue is oil and tourism. I think it’s going to get ugly up here.

Clean shave and buzz cut. Low maintanence until it grows back.

I prefer to be clean shaven since my facial hair is itchy and grows in patches.

As I am essential services I can't grow a beard because I can't wear n95 and surgical masks with one. I do have a skin irritation condition and a letter from my dr saying I dont have to shave, but for now, I keep it really short. I am rocking a viking goatee, though.

I'd say if you've never done a full beard, do it. Forecasting is showing that isolation protocols for everyone will be well into June. That means a very big beard.

The biggest I've ever had my beard was 5 months of growth, and I have probably 6inches or so of beard. It was fantastic.

Ive been living in the woods since last fall, ive got a head start. My beard is more magnificent than its ever been. Still not as long as im going for, but ive got time.

Fuck that. Go read Tom Neales excellent book "An Island to Oneself" Dude lives by himself an island for 8 years, women wanted to come with him but he wisely said no as they caise too much trouble. He shaved every Wednesday and Saturday.

Grow a beard if you like that look, don't grow a beard because you're a lazy cunt.
