I don’t think she despises men or wants to harass them, I think she was making a cutting joke of sorts. It’s not a real design, it’s something she did to take a picture with and write an article about, it’s a social thing, not a “fuck men I’m actually going to go out of my way to make you uncomfortable”. She didn’t push the idea, she made one as a kind of funny proof of concept and moved on. Given, I really didn’t find it very funny or amusing, but what the hell she can make a couple chairs if she wants, I’m not gonna go after her and say she hates men for a little internet stunt.

Well, just to be that guy. There is clear evidence that men see closely related or even distantly related relatives as "their family" and sacrifice themselves for those family members. there is a lot of science on how this is evolutionary advantageous. Think about it; your nephews are 1/2 of the same genes as you. (2 out of 4 grandparents are the same) so advancing them advances your own genes.
Note: There is zero reason for women to sacrifice themselves EVER because their own offspring are always more important than anyone else's.
