American soldiers are not fighting for your “freedom” -- What do you guys think about this? I see a lot of military and vet love on this sub...is joining the army really going your own way? I can't think of an institution more harmful to men.

Actually I wanted to makes post about it too. I don't really get why people are so into military service. This is basically a plantation, only now your master isn't your wife, but some dude with stripes assigned by gynocentric government. You can't leave, you eat what they give you, sleep were they allow you and shoot at people they will point to. Bad choice all around.

No offense to people that choose that way, just my two cents.

I'm a Vet, USMC 4 years, got me out of the house where my Toxic mother and sisters were, lots of red pills, taught me how to be a man, have more confidence, set me up for success. It was my own way, my moms way was college so I could support her which I did not do. I now own and operate a successful business. Your tone seems suspect.

Been active duty for over 14 years and will retire in another 6. I have saved enough money that I can legit retire at 39 if I want with no debt, 100k cash, another 350k in my retirement account, a guaranteed monthly stipend, owning my house already, cheap full coverage insurance for the rest of my life, and they will pay me to finish my Masters degree. Can't really beat that.

I've learned a lot of valuable skills, learned about leading people, and have been able to travel to over 35 countries. I would say the military has the potential to really broaden your global perspective, as well as set you up financially for life as long as you aren't terrible with money and manage to stay single. The outspoken veterans who are always complaining are the same ones who married fat strippers, got divorce raped, and then got remarried to a single mom in her 30s. They would have been failures no matter what they did in life.

But I mean, I've been an aircraft mechanic the whole time, so I guess that is pretty different from what many people imagine when they think "military."

It's a great place for a boy to become a man and learn about discipline and applying yourself. It can also pay for your college or other education and set you up for life. Military is just a solid stepping stone in your career if you join out of high school knowing what it is and how to get the most out of it.

However many young men use it as idiots and spend their first paychecks on a car, a wedding ring, and other debt causing things. They dont climb up the ranks and are stuck to be cannon fodder.

However I can imagine joining young, becoming a lieutenant, learning to lead, and getting education done without debt while building net worth, it is a great investment if you are not from a well off family that can pay college.

I think going your own way means being who you want to be... I am a fag, but I am not feminine, but I have a people-personality. I am currently working at a traditional retail establishment, where guys do stock and girls cashier. I hate traditionalism because I am more qualified and suited for the role of cashier, but because of trad-cons I can't do that.

I am a man, going my own way, I just don't fit into trad-cons view of masculinity..

The military is a good route for men who are not sure what they want to do.

Men need to do something productive between 18-23. Either college, military, or trade school.

In the US, the Military is often an opportunity. You get out of it what you put into it.

Now, can we and should we treat the combat vets who are having troubles a lot better? Absolutely, I won't argue that for a moment. But from my time in, the guys who had a plan going in to make it work for them came out of it a lot better. The ones who went in out of desperation (got their GF pregnant and needed a job really bad) were the ones who had the roughest time. A blanket statement like "it's horrible for men" or "it'll be good for you" can't be applied.

I saw the post in another sub and I have to tell, it has a part of truth, a part of misunderstood.

The army as an institution is an important part of any society to protect itself. The army is necessary to keep the peace and security, now the misconception here is for what and who are american soldiers fighting for?

They aren't fighting for the freedom of american people but the interests government has in certain places. There's no reason to start a fight without a purpose.

Cold War, 9/11, Israel, communism, ISIS, etc., there is evidence that make them seem as a plan to start an invasion or a war.

I'm not an american citizen but absolutly respect and empathize with american soldiers who have had died and for those who fought for real freedom during the World Wars but now the U.S. made war a franchise and a well retributed bussiness at expenses at its own people.

The women in the military are all mega whores without fail. They totally fuck up the dynamic. The guys I know who are married or who have been are totally miserable bastards. I know guys who have been married 3 or more times and have gone bankrupt. Guys who are literal cuckolds by choice. Guys go out to training or deploy and their women are fucking some other dude. Totally sickening and disgusting.

For me I would have wondered if it's the same level if I went camping hiking and shooting by myself.

I joined the Marine corps I served but I do get that the vet Love Is over the top but I'm a low-key kind of guy now,but, I felt like I would have been in jail if I didn't join...

I think it was Johnny Cash's sent that jail and the military harden a man but in different ways.

Yes. I’ve seen and experienced things that most people won’t do. The army has set me up for life regardless if I retire or not. The military is the easiest job in the world, and you can retire with a pension in your late 30s to enjoy the rest of your life.
