Insert your memory card into card reader. Plug it into PC. Use recuva for file recovery.

Many files may not have been overwritten by new data so you should be able to recover them.

You technically can I think. But you probably need a data recovery tool of some sort. I remember one you could get and run on CMD. But i forgot the name.

If it was just formatting, and then realizing you've made a mistake, you would've had much better chance. But you've used it after that, which means that who-knows how much of the old data got rewritten. Those that were, won't be salvageable. That's the hard truth. On the other hand, you might be able to recover what's important to you to get back.

Like u/Ody_ssey said, get a card reader for computer (or plug it into a laptop if it has one built in), and run Recuva. It's free. Do a scan and you'll see how much of it you'll be able to recover.

If it was not overwritten by the new data, you can recover it.
