It's not that women like bad men, though many do. It's that, more fundamentally, when a woman is sexually attracted to a man she'll put up with almost everything. When she's not, he has to be Jesus and Mother Theresa combined for her to give an inch. And most women are not sexually attracted to most men.
I don't know why this isn't common knowledge yet. Modern society is in mega denial about it.
The majority of women have limited sexual interest in the majority of men. It's not cultural, it's not limited to a small subset of women.
When a woman is not sexually attracted to a man, she may realize he's a good guy, but she will feel deeply dissatisfied, later trapped, even digusted and abused if social conventions bind her in a relationship to a man like this. But the second she meets a man she's very sexually attracted to (height being a major signal for this), it's the same story every time: "I never even thought I liked sex - oh by the way it's the best I've ever had - but more importantly I've finally found 'love'."

I was on the Chad side of the spectrum, and I'm not saying this to brag, just to give people an example: you can get away with murder. I didn't even have a car in my 20's, women drove me around. I drank. I cheated and was forgiven. I was on probation for over four years. It was a pretty rancid offence. I hung out with complete drug addicts and losers. I was in a punk band. Young women (18-26) literally do not care what the fuck you do, as long as you are attractive to them and the sexual chemistry is there.
HOWEVER...if you do not eventually change into the beta, mortgage paying schlub she is attempting to turn you into with her "love", she will have a shit fit and leave. And then you will forever be the "toxic ex, abuser", etc. Rinse and repeat like this until about 30, when she suddenly wants to date the chubby data analyst who makes 80K per year. These aren't just internet memes: I've seen this play out perfectly over the years. It's like clockwork.

If you were to put two attractive men together, one who looks like a saint, and the other who looks like he a recently released criminal, most women would probably choose the latter as a romantic partner.

Maybe, you may be right. However, I tend to side with the incels a little. All else being equal is hard to find (twins?). If the saint is slightly taller, slightly broader shoulders, mostly better face, and has a look of success that's more than the sinner's look of bravado, the saint might just win. Although, I feel like women will play all the cards between to attractive men, regardless. Hell, most romcoms are all about "which hot boi do I choose? what a dilemma!"

Like how does it even become this. Used to be a blue pill simp and of course never got any women. I've since become basically a self centered asshole and it's so fucking easy to get women like what. I literally have WW2 German Army flag in my room and not once has it ever stopped women from fucking me after bringing them over (note I realize bringing them back is stupid these days so I insist on love hotel now)
