Follow up to previous posts. Essentially: vaguely accused of "gender bias" at work without explanation or examples. I asked my boss to please look into this further as I was not comfortable with such vague claims. She warned me that if she did or if I went to HR, things could get messy. Confident of my innocence, I insisted. Fast forward to weeks and she was right. Investigation revealed that: me meeting with the medical director (male) of a program alone, without including female leaders of the same program (but different rank) had been seen as gender bias, despite this approach being the suggestion of the medical director. So...I was basically following his direction but I get accused of displaying gender bias...FOR MEETING ALONE WITHOUT OTHER FEMALE LEADERS PRESENT!!! This is the most absurd thing ever. Shocked at the example provided, I went to HR who told me to basically be quiet and that despite my intentions, it is the other parties' perception that matters. Ultimately, I was told that if further complaints arise, I will be more formally written up (I am reading clearly between the lines). I have lost my mind and cannot believe two weeks ago I could barely do no wrong. Today, I am being accused of sexism for including women in a meeting....crazy!!!! I suspect I will be providing another update soon on my termination....lol.
