The feminist in this video is utterly insufferable. But the narrator makes it palatable.

I know exactly where this woman derived her worldview: The Chalice and the Blade by Riane Eisler. Eisler argued that we used to live in glorious matriarchies that worshipped the "divine feminine." Then the evil menz came along and enslaved the women-folk, ushering in the dark ages. Her work is no longer taken seriously by academics but was disturbingly popular a few decades ago and is probably still taught in some gender studies courses.

The Chalice and the Blade represents the mystical wing of feminism. Essentially everything good = feminine and everything bad = masculine; but instead of using bogus sociology they use bogus anthropology and appeals to the "transcendent" nature of "feminine energy" etc.

There's a good dissection of this nonsense in Paul Nathanson and Kathy Young's work "sanctifying misandry."
