Some equality at last .Tis makes me appy.

To be even more fair, they met on tinder, she pretending to be 19, and he's 20.

[–]samsc2 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

seriously bullshit that he had gotten in any trouble what so ever. She lied on every single form of social media and in person so what was he supposed to do? Not his job to check ID's.

See the people being outraged as FUCK because the guy seemed older and she got away with it?

Here she 'seemed older' and he's getting punished slightly and people are outraged over his being punished at all.

[–]samsc2 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You are absolutely beyond retarded. You're blaming a victim of something and confused when everyone else doesn't want to stone the victim. How can you be so retarded? The guy did not know she was under age, she wasn't his student, she committed fraud, etc.. etc.. etc... seriously go get help.

[–]mwobuddy -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

So what you're saying is that 15 year olds are horrbile victims of rape if some 20-40 year old willingly has sex with them, knowing they're underage.

The entire idea of age of consent is that a person who is under that age is always a victim. They always are harmed, emotionally, physically, whatever, by sex with an older person.

What you're suggesting calls into question teachers fucking students as being rape, or older people fucking teens as being rape in general, for the mere violation of age of consent law.

Age of consent law presumes that the person who is older, or who is in a position of authority, HAS COERCED the younger person to do someting they wouldnt otherwise do, which is why its called 'defiling a minor/child' or 'corruption of a minor/child'.

Corruption/defiling of her (sinec she's underage) STILL happened.

I'm the one fighting people who talk about how its rape for teachers and students, or older people with teens in general, all the time. I get called a retard by oppositional types when I do that as well, because "its clearly rape because he/she's underage!".

I'm asking for consistency in the beliefs of the people on the sub.

How does a person go from a victim to a perpetrator of a sex crime by deceiving the other person as to being too young by law?

[–]samsc2 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You type an awful lot for someone who can't comprehend simple situations. OP's situation was that the guy met a random girl on a dating website and that girl told him she was a certain age doubled up by all her social media saying the same thing. The situation you are describing is of a mom who had sex with one of her sons young friends after she provided them with alcohol. Are you so fucking dense that you can't comprehend the massive difference between someone being defrauded and someone being clearly raped? Seriously go get mental treatment because you have problems.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Answer me this:

Can a 15 year old legally consent to sex. Y/n?

[–]samsc2 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Can a 15 year old commit fraud by lying about their age to someone who did just about everything everyone else would have to verify information about someone?

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If it was about money, yes.

If a woman lies about how hold she is by saying she's 25 and she's actually 35, that's not fraud.

If a 15 year old lies about being older, that's not fraud.

Now, before you try to argue some more, answer my question. Can a 15 year old legally consent to sex?

[–]mwobuddy -5 points-4 points-3 points 8 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Hes in a position of authority by being a coach. I mean, you can call it what you want, but when unrelated teachers bang stuidents from other districts, they're always villified on this sub as rapists abusing their authority.

So unless you're going to deconstruct that reasoning, then you have to agree he did in fact have a position of authority when banging a 15 year old, which makes his actions rapey.

Furthermore, she can't legally consent anyway, and thats what you ALL are worried about when a teacher bangs a student.

[–]samsc2 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

No, he isn't. She wasn't his student. He met her on Tinder randomly and she didn't go to his school that he taught at. What are you talking about.

[+]mwobuddy -6 points-5 points-4 points 8 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

By being in a position of authority, it doesn't matter whether he's actually her teacher or not.

The same reason that people want it to be illegal for teachers to bang 16-17 year olds, regardless of whether they're actually THEIR teachers or not, in states where its still legal.

The same reason teachers are vilified on this sub for having sex with students when the students aren't even theirs.

Being a coach, he is automatically in a 'position of authority', and everyone in this sub recognizes such positions as being automatic, and also claim that this is why 20 with 15 if she lies, or 28 with 16 where it is otherwise legal, is 'rape'.

[–]McFeely_Smackup 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

By your logic, EVERYONE is in a position of authority in some form or other.

This is moronic.

[–]mwobuddy -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is the logic people use on this sub when bringing up female teacher sex relationships, and those who defend it by saying "but he wasn't HER student" get downvoted and called rape apologists.

[–]samsc2 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

He wasn't in any position of authority because he wasn't her teacher. He had no idea she was a 15 year old. That's just beyond retarded of you to even think that way. Go get help.

[–]mwobuddy -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's exactly what I see on this forum.

Suppose a teacher has sex with a student-age individual. People on this sub will be horrified that she used her position of authority as a teacher.

I get it. There's an unspoken rule. If he'd been a 40 year old male teacher rather than a 20 year old male coach, it'd be something else entirely to you, Im sure, just as its something else entirely to the people of this sub when a teacher travels 100 miles to have sex with a 'student' from another district, who is otherwise of legal age, but the teacher is then done in for 'carnal knowledge of a minor', or 'corruption of a minor', or any other kind of legalese which amounts to "yeah, it was legal but we think its morally reprehensible so fuck you".

Such a hypothetical female teacher gets 1-2 years prison, and people on here lose their shit about preferential female treatment and how it was 'rape'.

[–]samsc2 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You have no comprehension of this situation nor the situations that people would complain about. This is not the same situation as the standard female teacher rapes male student issue that is talked about a lot in this subreddit. This is a completely different issue. The GIRL LIED ABOUT HER AGE on numerous social media outlets and the dating app. The GUY happened to be a teacher but NOT HER TEACHER. The GUY thought SHE was 19 because she said she was, the social media accounts she was using said she was, and the dating app/website she signed up for said she was.

How many times do you need to be explained something before you understand them? The GUY was lied too. It has nothing to do with authority, his teaching status had nothing to do with the situation, and it was all based on the fact that SHE defrauded him/websites. Holy shit you're dense.

[–]mwobuddy -5 points-4 points-3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

GIRL LIED ABOUT HER AGE on numerous social media outlets and the dating app.

Because the number of places a person lies matters.

The GUY happened to be a teacher but NOT HER TEACHER.

Just like 1/5th of all the issues in this sub that are outraged over women.

The GUY thought SHE was 19 because she said she was, the social media accounts she was using said she was, and the dating app/website she signed up for said she was.

Translation: the guy thought she was legal and she wasn't. Just like 1/5th of all cases here.

How exactly was he using his position of authority to coerce her into sex?

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Exactly! That's the same question I always ask when teacher-student sex scandals pop up on this sub.

See this? https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/6q6dqv/former_canton_high_school_coach_receives_relaxed/dkvckdn/

[She is most DEFINITELY a victim of rape, because she's underage. Let's not sweep that under the carpet. She's also a victim of abuse of authority because laws against student/teacher relationships do not gauge where authority abuse actually occurred, the use of coercion is considered de-facto in all cases, whether it happened or not, and he has a position of authority by being a coach]

The law is explicit that "age and/or legal position of authority" creates abuse automatically. A 20 year old fucking a 15 year old knowing they're 15 is abusing their "power dynamic imbalance", and thus a sick child predator. Make it 28 and 15 if you think the ages are too close.

A teacher fucking a student is also considered PDI.

But why? Why if there's no proof of coercion?

Because its a catchall law. I don't see coercion in many, if not most, of the teacher-student scandals that appear on this sub, but people are suggesting the teacher be burned at the stake.

Now, on to that term that means a person is always resonsible for a sex act, regardless of knowing or not. Im drawing a blank right now.

So in many states, lack of knowing someone is underage is not an excuse. You're still in prison for fucking someone underage, even if they lied about it. Why?

The reasoning is simple. Even though you didn't KNOW you were older than the other person, and thus you didn't KNOW you were pushing your unequal Power Dynamic on the other one, you still did so, because maybe this person was afraid to say no because you were old, even though you don't KNOW she's younger.

So a coach or teacher from another district hooking up with a student-aged individual, even if they don't KNOW, is using their position of authority to have coercive sex with a student, especially if the student who lies about their age DOES know that the other person is a coach or teacher.

In looking at it another way, we know that females are drawn to fuck authority figures. Its illegal to fuck a student because they do 'fall' for authority figures in general and thus its abuse of position of authority to fuck em, even though you don't KNOW they're lying.

I'm not saying this is right. I'm not saying this is fair. I'm always the one questioning whether its really 'abuse' when these kinds of things come up.

But here in this case, people are protecting him on this sub because he's a 20 year old male, and not a 30 year old female. Hell, I saw a 20 year old female had sex with a student (she was a TA), and everyone thought the 1-2 year sentence she got was too light.

But maybe its because 'she knew the age'.

Here's another thing to think about:

We live in a culture that says anyone having sex with someone underage is rape. Right? So he did rape her, despite not knowing. This is the basis for that law which says "even though you didn't know, you're still legally liable".

Why is it rape if you know, and not-rape if you don't know?

If its so serious that we call it rape of a minor/child when someone has sex with someone that young, why should anyone be freed from the crime because of the younger person lying? The fact that we blame the adult in these situations when they know is due to the implicit claim that "teens/children don't know whats good for them, are stupid, and make dumb mistakes". Just because she commits to several lies over the course of the engagement does not make her no longer a teen/child making dumb mistakes.

In the end, here's what happened. Two people meet up and have sex.

If Person A and Person B are 20-40 and 15 respectively in ages.

If Person A knows how young they are, they're a sick freak and a rapist of a child. Yes, I see this time and again on this sub. It isn't questioned.

However if Person A doesn't know how young they are, as in this case, no rape occurred? Or rather, what would be the reason for suggesting that even though a horrible child rape crime occurred (she can't legally consent, and is a victim of rape by your guys' minds in the circumstances where someone knows her age), a person should not be punished for it?

See, I thought child rape was serious business. But here people are defending someone who indeed committed the act of raping a child, since she can't consent by law, and that lack of consent is rape.

The defense of this guy only makes sense through bias; wanting guys to not get punished so much/at all because women don't get punished much and its paraded around on this sub. I get that. But the reasons for not punishing him contradict the reasons for punishing women more harshly for sex with students, or people in general for sex with the underage.

if he'd been 40 and had sex with a 15 year old that lied and said she was 19, I don't think we'd be arguing over this. People would suggest he should serve his time in all likelihood, because it looks even more like rape or taking advantage of a child, even if he was lied to.

[+]1493271 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

I'd argue they're both victims here. He's a victim because he was coerced/manipulated and she was a victim because she doesn't have the ability to consent, because of the influence he had on her simply because of age. He undoubtedly used a power dynamic simply because of how much older he was. Regardless of how old he thought she was he would have had an obvious influence on her actions that would have been super easy to catch onto.

I was lied to when I was in highschool. I was a junior (17 at the time) and the girl I was with was a freshman (14). She lies and said she was a sophomore and 16. The influence I had on her just from 3 years was obvious and something I caught onto. I never slept with her but it would have been to easy. I found out she was lying early on. That's my experience.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Ding. Point proven.

A Power Dynamic boogeyman is invoked immediately due to age difference, regardless of whether or not someone intended to use that PD to their benefit.

Emotional intelligence (EI) involves using cognitive and emotional abilities to function in .... at detecting consistency with basic emotions, women were superior at detecting deception in both basic emotion and inconsistent emotions conditions

Ask yourself some questions here:

If girls mature 10 years sooner than guys, how are guys the ones taking advantage of 'helpless naive girls' when the guy is slightly older?

if girls supposedly have superior emotional intelligence, which involves understanding motives, why are they considered equals, or even INFERIORS when they have sex with teenage males of their own age, or slightly older males?

if girls are supposedly equal, why is it that when women have sex with underage students, its always referred to as sex and trysts, not rape, whereas men having sex with students is referred to as rape?

[+]1493271 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Dude. You're preaching to the choir. It's the dynamic we live in as a society. Women are seen as weaker and less capable by the justice system so... They do less time. The same way kids receive less time. Which results in... Sexism towards men. Men are also seen as predators and always wanting sex by the justice system and media, so more often than not people don't think there was any influence needed. Sexism is a two way street. We live in a bisexist society. When something is negatively sexist towards one gender it is usually positively sexist towards the other gender. And this is a perfect example of that.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, and the Power Dynamic boogeyman, citing strict age differential is how feminists, sjws, etc, can claim rape between a younger female and an older male, despite younger females maturing sooner physically (in the brain and body), and supposedly having superior emotional and social intelligence traits compared to males.

Its funny that when we want females to be considered victims, suddenly all these 'female advantages' count for nothing and we revert to strict chronological age comparison to determine if abused occurred.

In another news story the supreme court of Canada said the woman didn't have to check the teen boy's age.

Gynocentric hypocrisy.

Nobody should be facing criminal charges, probation, fines, or imprisonment for consensual sex.

And indeed, if we buy the feminist way of thinking (which I don't, but let's just see where this goes) this man was raped by fraud.

[–]Supraspinatusnebula[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I agree. Her actions and deliberate misrepresentation of her age put him in the situation he found himself, which undoubtedly caused irreparable damage to his life and reputation. Not knowing the current laws on it, i don't know if there's a term or charge or if it does qualifies as rape, but it should absolutely be a punishable offence.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's saying no one should be facing criminal charges for consensual sex with a 15 year old.

I agree, even if they were 60 years old.

Nothing like accusing a person of being an underage liar to really warm up a new relationship.

that's what a lot inmates said.

I seem to recall a porn actor had charges filed against him and the porn company went bankrupt because an actress with a Florida issued drivers license had lied about her age.
