what did they think would happen. when you demonize men as sexually predator and then make the deviants the responsibility of all why is it surprising to have men not want to be near women professionally. its marginally safer at lower levels, most working class men and women are less aware of this crap but the higher (or in my case just more painfully aware) of course they will do things to protect themselves. you cant mentor when you have three other people in the room to cover your ass.

Some studies say that women don't mentor women as much as they could. They better step up their game, because male mentoring is gonna dry up, somewhat.

That article really falls short. I’m not surprised they’re so one-sided though, all they talk about is the women’s point of view. The entire question of “Why?” is barely even touched.

Fish don't need bicycles - men shouldn't mentor women when women can do for themselves. Plus, when it's so easy to throw false accusations of impropriety about, as men we should protect ourselves and our employment and our well being

The article doesn't start out well:

Implying that being concerned about ones reputation is unreasonable and then when asked how things can change he launches straight into punishment mode:

Organizations need to make this clear to employees: If they only do things with people of the same sex, that is discrimination

If men decline to risk their job and reputation, they can face punishment for that too. Truly, any time a risk must be taken, the person taking that risk always turns out to be a man and often enough, he's doing so involuntarily. This is male disposability in its most naked and unashamed form.

When you work with kids, a huge part of mandatory training is "youth protection" which really means "liability protection" and boils down to "never EVER be alone with a minor". This training doesn't protect kids because a predator isn't gonna follow the rules. This training is to protect the organization from false accusations and everyone knows it.

Now, in a world where things like "unwelcome advances" from one adult toward another are worth millions in harassment suits, it's clear that feminists don't want to be treated as adults with agency, but children without it. And if feminists want the legal protections afforded to children, they are going to be treated as such.
