Does anyone know about a study that explores the issue of fake rape, or rather, the instrumentalisation of rape throughout history? Including links to political dynamics, public choice, the use of rape as a weapon of war, and perhaps even the biological reasons why we are so inordinately concerned with this compared to other acts of violence (and why it can be so traumatic compared to, say, losing a limb - yes, I actually saw thorough studies using neurological data on this)?
