I stumbled upon these guys at a local independent hardware store and am damn impressed by both the quality of their products and their advertising. Refreshingly and unapologeticly pro-male.

I think a great alternative to Gilette is Dorco USA.

They are the same blades and razors sold by the Dollar Shave Club, but you can buy in bulk and there's no ongoing 'subscription' for the blades. They are always running sales, and even purchasing from Canada, as I do, I still come in below $1.50CAD a cartridge, or less than half of what Gillette wants me to pay for a cartridge.

I've been using them for years, now.

I've seen some grumbling from feminists about men's reaction to the Gillette ad especially men no longer buying Gillette products. I can see their point. There's nothing wrong with asking men to be better.

Like most MRAs, I believe that it was an attack on men, but I could be wrong. I'm not infallible, but there's nothing wrong with me asking Gillette to be better either. Everyone can be better. Every company can be better. It would be great if half the world's population improved. It would be better if the other half improved as well.

It's fine for Gillette to ask half the population to improve, but I believe that Gillette can do better. Gillette could ask the other half of the population to do better. There's also nothing wrong with me buying products from other brands.

I call on Gillette to do better and until they do, I'm buying another brand. So feminists, what's wrong with that reaction? I suspect that it's because they know the ad is an attack on men and they approve.

What do you think of a petition calling on Gillette to do better and ask women to do better as well?
