The US is still far better than other countries where in most cases ONLY men had to give up 1 - 3 years of their life to military service. And even today in Germany for example only men are drafted for either military or civil service while women have no obligation whatsoever. Equality?, I think not.

I oppose the draft, but as long it exists, it should include both men and women.

The article's suggestion, however, that women should be denied the right to vote until they are subject to the draft is fucking ridiculous.

I don't believe women should be subject to drafting. And before I get downvoted to oblivion: I don't believe anyone should be forced into military service, male or female. Making women subject to it just lends it more legitimacy.

As for women who want to serve in artillary, on the front lines etc., fine by me.

If women desire full equality they'll insist on equal service to men in the military. Men aren't cannon fodder.
