We really should be more like the MRAs, why is there not more of a relationship between east and west MRAs?

The Indian MRA isn't thriving, in my opinion. It's in need of a lot of support. In comparison with the feminist movement, it has very little traction. I'm not talking about a legal lobby or political influence; getting even a small bill passed in the Parliament is a struggle, if it's found to be even slightly helpful to men.

But this is just VICE, and I don't expect any truth from it.

Remember, men are currently not protected under sexual assault laws specifically due to protest from 'gender activist' groups. I agree that the MRM is not about being anti-feminism; that said, the facts are facts on this one. It's a valid and relevant point to make because it shows why we need a specific MRM.

I've gone to one of those kinds of meetings. They happen a lot more than mentioned in the article, far away from media glare. After one of those meets, I went to a nearby cheap bar and having a drink. One man, older to me, who was also in the group was already there having his drink. I asked if I could sit across; he nodded.

We had a great conversation.

(Me and him): Sitting opposite to each other, sipping our own drinks, eating some snacks. Occasional smile.

(He after ~ 15-20 mins): "if only you could train a dog to call an ambulance when you need, that's the only support you'd need in your life. Every other expense, pain you shoulder is for that one moment you could rely on".

Me: Nods in acquiescence.

(Me and Him): Spent another half an hour in silence.

He nods again and take leave.

That was a great conversation, really. I think men can appreciate this.

Note: We still don't have equivalent of 911 in India, fully functional. In few states down south (like mine) we do have an ambulance on call and works okay.

The men's rights movement in India might want to focus on the fact a woman gets raped every 15 minutes.
