The score is calculated, predicted grades, school, previous markes all used etc... THEN if you are a boy mark goes down, if you are a girl mark goes up... put it this way, would you do this on race (e.g. mark goes down for certain races, up for some), or would you do this to lower girls grades? No there would be world war 3... this however, will not even make the Guardian or be talked about.... any discussion will ONLY be focused on race, class, private school etc...

Its like when a document for COVID beds in ICU got leaked.... you get points, too many points means I think it was 6, means no bed.... men of any age were automatically given a point just for being male as were elderly.... EVERY single newspaper without fail ONLY mentioned agesim etc, not a single one mentioned gender at all, even in passing.

That gives a wrong message to society that girls are not as competitive as boys so they have to be compensated. They are creating sexism by pretending to end it.

This is dystopian as fuck. Your grade doesn't map to your effort and knowledge anymore, it's also a function of your gender, race, class, etc. These kids' futures are now partially determined by some racist, sexist, anti-egalitarian assholes who have a legitimate antipathy for about half of them. This is what a move towards "equity" looks like: arbitrary middlemen taking away the value of hard work based on what they think you deserve due to your immutable characteristics.

I hope this ends up being a lawsuit. This is verging on legitimately evil.

Wow this is absurd. First of all, it's a huge inequality for boys. Second of all, the gov basically said "you are a girl and you are dumber, so we must give you more points". As another user has pointed out, they are creating sexism and prejudice.
