Women aren’t completely exempt from surgical punishment, like the title was implying. That’s why I made the comment, to point out that they aren’t.

The article did imply that women would not get surgically castrated for raping people over the age of 14. However, like with the death penalty, I’m against castration for rape. The odds of innocence are just too much to be for it, so, again. If one sex gets castrated and the other doesn’t, it’s better than both sexes getting castrated. But again, preferably, no castration for either sex.

The article does state that people who rape children can get a maximum of life imprisonment, and people who rape adults can get a maximum of 21 years imprisonment. That is a completely gender-neutral punishment.

But, then again, female-perpetrated rape of adults is very rare, so rare that I don’t understand why this sub talks about it so much. However, female child molesters are somewhat common (CPS puts it at 9% of substantiated instances of CSA are perpetrated by women), so I understand that.

Government reports of forcible rape. 99.1% of all arrests of forcible rape are of men. It should be noted that almost all states (with the only exception I know of is Georgia) have completely gender-neutral rape laws (including penetrator/penetrated stuff too), so maybe if Georgia did have gender-neutral rape laws it would maybe go up a little (99.1% to 99.0% or something like that), but it’s clearly not that common.

I’ve seen the National Intimate Sexual and Intimate Partner Violence Survey this sub likes to cite so much because it’s one of the only studies that prove what they want to see (which isn’t unique to Men’s Rights ideology. Everybody has confirmation bias to an extent), but at the same time, criticizes the “too loose” definition of rape to find the “1 in 5 women are raped” figure. The “made to penetrate” and “rape” categories are literally determined by asking the same question. If drunk sex was included in the “rape” category, it sure as fuck was in the “made to penetrate” category. Plus, very few “made to penetrate” instances were reported as using force, so it probably reported more drunk sex than the “rape” category. (Of course, “made to penetrate” should have been considered “rape.” I agree with that.)

Of course, it’s not like women NEVER rape adults. They do it a fuck-ton in prisons for some reason. But outside of there it’s exceptionally rare for a woman to rape an adult.

I haven’t researched Nigeria, though, so I don’t know about it’s rates. This is just the US lol.

False. It is a bit over half. Five years ago it was less than half.

National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions found in a sample of 43,000 adults little difference in the sex of self-reported sexual perpetrators. Of those who affirmed that they had ‘ever forced someone to have sex with you against their will,’ 43.6 percent were female and 56.4 percent were male.”

Even if you only care about women, you should still stop women from raping because the majority of men convicted of raping women were sexually violated by adult women when they were boys. Multiple studies in the US, UK, and Canada have shown this.

So women not raping, and rape by women being acknowledged as traumatic and treated with compassion, would probably stop a lot of women from getting raped in the future.

I agree that rape by women should be considered traumatic, and an awful thing that sometimes occurs. However, I would argue it’s already being viewed that way. I’m in high school (if stating this makes you discredit my opinion I swear to god lol), and although me myself isn’t a teenage boy, I’m surrounded by them. I would say that the most likely person to discredit the trauma female-on-male rape would be teenage boys. But none of them would do that lol. Okay, with a couple of exceptions. But those are all assholes. I’d say 95% of teenage boys wouldn’t discredit it, and 99% of the girls. (But I would also say a vast majority wouldn’t discredit any sort of rape either, with, again, the exceptions of a couple assholes.)

I’ve also seen some of those studies. Very few people in the National Epidemiological Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions actually reported being rapists. It was like, a fraction of a percent or something, so although I do believe that it probably got an accurate percentage of people who report being rapists, I don’t think it got it accurate about who’s doing the raping, due to, again, the small sample size of rapists.

The one on sexual coercion is odd. “Sexual coercion” included things like “seduction” and “begging and pleading.” These also made up the majority of the incidents. I would consider things like “begging and pleading” for sex and asshole thing to do, however it is far, far away from rape. Plus, the study isn’t claiming to be studying “rape.” It claims to be studying “sexual coercion.”

The stuff about male sexual predators having been preyed on by adult women when they were younger may be true, but a large proportion of incidences of CSA reported by sexual predators are false, so I wouldn’t trust it.

She is considered the foremost expert on sexual violence in the US. She is the one that started the 1 in 4 American college women is sexually assaulted myth by counting all sorts of things the "victims" didn't. A man misinterpreting a situation going in for a kiss and then backing off when she pulls back, puts up her hand, or turns her cheek is counted as a sexual assault on a woman even if she doesn't think it was. As you hear in her own words the woman's studies professor and trusted expert that literally wrote the book on measuring prevalence of sexual violence does not call a woman drugging and riding a man bareback rape ... or even label it sexual assault ... it is merely "unwanted contact"

You see she has been saying this for decades and was instrumental in creating the methodologies most (including the US and many other government agencies around the world) use for gathering rape statistics. E.g.

Although consideration of male victims is within the scope of the legal statutes, it is important to restrict the term rape to instances where male victims were penetrated by offenders. It is inappropriate to consider as a rape victim a man who engages in unwanted sexual intercourse with a woman.

She is an advisor to the CDC, FBI, Congress, and researchers around the world and promoting the idea that men cannot be raped by women. There was a proposal to explicitly include forced envelopment in the latest FBI update to the definition of rape but after a closed door meeting with her and N.O.W. lobbiests, it mysteriously disappeared. She has many many followers and fellow researchers that follow her methodology and quote her studies. That is where most people get the idea rape is just a man on woman crime. Men are fairly rarely penetrated and it is almost always by another man.
