The problem is a woman holding a knife or other weapon is stronger than a man holding nothing at all, especially if caught by surprise. And even if the man is stronger, it is against the law for him to use his force, so how much benefit to him is it really? As for the 'patriarchy' argument, that would imply men can be abused in Britain, Germany, and New Zealand, since they are all matriarchies of sorts, but not in other countries, which is obviously absurd.

It's more than whining. They had a popular stickied post a while back that encouraged women to shame men into paying for first dates with lines like "oh, I didn't realize you were poor" and false promises of sex. They're toxic and manipulative. It's pathetic, and I can't imagine their tactics working on any man with a modicum of self-respect.
