The problem is that child porn is seen as the evil beyond all evil, thus there is no measure to stop it that goes to far, sacrifices too many liberties. If you are falsely charged, you are expected to view yourself a martyr. You sacrifice so that the evil beyond evil may be stopped.

And if child porn is the thing that is evil beyond all evil, then the pedophile must be the person who is evil beyond all evil. Even those who have not viewed it must be slain to stop them from doing so, as it is only a matter of time. Of course, some dislike the sight of blood, so locking them away is an acceptable compromise.

Of course, to lock him away, you must punish him before he harms children. Combined with the fact that drawn porn is a kind of 'fake porn', it thus stands that drawn child porn must be punished, even if no child is harmed in the making. And pedophiles must not be given any possible defense, less they escape justice. An innocent picture of your daughter/niece/ect.? I THINK NOT! Just a drawing that never involved a real child? I THINK NOT! Just a picture you took at the beach? I THINK NOT!

The pedophile must burn for daring to choose to be sexually attracted to children. And ensuring his merely looking at any photo of a child is enough to carry out his punishment the surest way to do such.

Of course, any reasonable person will be aghast that the thought of punishing innocents to ensure no guilty escape, or at punishing thought crimes, or even punishing (albeit creepy) harmless photos.

Most people lose their mind as they slowly get caught up in the mantra of protecting children, though I have seen come back to their senses. I once debated with a man who said that he would rather a pedophile molest a child so the pedophile could spend his life in prison being raped than for the pedophile to never touch or harm a child and live a peaceful life of sexual fantasies but no real actions. He lost so many supporters instantly.

I have a much younger sister who I have been in some ways like a father too ever since she lost hers. This means two things.

Being she isn't my child, I have been the subject of suspicion from more people than I care. I know what it is like to be on the receiving end of hate without having done a single thing wrong.
I understand the feeling of rage at the idea of someone abusing her. I know what it is like to be on the giving end of hate when I think about the known child abuser who was getting to close to her (before my family helped hers out, she was living next door to a convicted child molester who has gotten out of prison after serving less than 2 months per victim... still not sure how he managed that).

Overall, I handle these two extremes to try to make a balanced point of view. If a pedophile is actively trying to keep himself from harming a child, I think he should receive praise, not scorn, from me. I would hate to live knowing I could never even touch a woman again, yet that is how a pedophile has to try to live their entire life. And if looking at drawings helps them do that... as long as you keep those drawings to yourself where neither I nor my family can see them, then so be it.

P.S. And if you watch anime, you know about 50% of the 18 years or older characters appear at least a little bit under 18.

Also, considering that you can have someone who is, physically speaking, sexually mature at 17, any porn of anyone who is clearly not 30 or older can be prosecuted under this law. Then again, that might have been the true intent of making a law a broad as this. The people who push the 'strongest' (and by that I mean super broad laws like the above) are heavily tied to conservative groups that want to outlaw all porn.

Sadly, about 5% of normal people, 10% of feminist (the good ones), and 90% of crazy feminist (the bad ones) will see this post as somehow supporting child pornography.
