Hey guys and girls of r/MensRights!

It's my first post here, so sorry if I've not structured the post appropriately.

Recently, during recess-time in school, a couple guys (16 year olds) and I were playing football in the football field (soccer for you Americans out there). Keep in mind, this was an area specifically just for football, so we're doing nothing wrong here. There's plenty of field for people to do what else they want to do.

Fast forward a few minutes, and a ball hits a girl (also 16) that's on the field. Like, she's in the middle of the football field. It's not like she's a new student, or doesn't know the rules. She goes to the teacher to complain about it because (apparently we did something wrong???), and when the teacher comes back, he actually lectures us and tells us to take responsibility. How unfair is that!

Imagine me walking on the volleyball courts and getting hit, then proceeding to complain about getting hit, and ACTUALLY being SUPPORTED in that situation. It wouldn't have happened. He would've told me to keep out of the volleyball pitch (which is obviously the right thing to say). Then why the double standard? I just can't anymore.

Has this sort of thing happened to you guys? What did you guys do to counter blatant sexism like this?
