So I'm leaving school later this week and after today, I couldn't be more glad to. Now today, we (an all-male class) had to run through a 'Women's Safety' Powerpoint. Now I will admit, I already had a negative preconceived idea on what it would be like, but to my credit, I was not wrong.
It was full of blatant sexism and misandry but I will recall the most memorable parts :
"Imagine you're in a room with 100 wasps and you don't know which ones will sting you...this is how women feel in a room full of men" now my heart goes out to women who genuinely feel like this but comparing us to wasps is just dehumanizing and evil. And it's not all wasps might I add lol.
"It's not all men...but it's enough..." now again I feel sympathy for women who are actually concerned for their safety around men but imagine the global outrage if it was "It's not all black people...but it's enough" or "It's not all gay people...but it's enough" It very much seems like it's alright to hate on men in Western culture and it doesn't sound like it will get better for us.
And apparently saying "It's not all men" (which I immediately said roughly 2 mins into it) makes us a part of the problem. I'm sorry but if you lump the good men into the same category as sexual predators, rapists, harassers, etc then you should not be surprised when we don't want to listen or shut down the conversation.
I guess my school thinks that the only way to get men to support is by shaming because of their sex.
Just needed to get this off my chest.

I agree. This is the only way left to change schools for the better: sue them until they bleed, then sue the blood out of them. After a few successful cases of that the rest of them will start to get the message, but not until then.
