I've always thought all these debates centered around violence against women are just a product of politicians using it as political currency to manipulate the female vote since de facto it's been steadily decreasing in the last decades (in Western countries) and a lot of figures floating around are either misleading, exaggerated or flat out false. But then I thought it might be women who are spontaneously promoting all these debates and the reason is that more or less unconsciously they want to be truly sexually liberated and that means being able to form harems with alphas without social criticism and restrictions. They know alphas tend to be abusive so they are implicitly asking them to be less despotic and treat them better through all these sensibilization campaigns. It's like they are saying 'I don't care about Joe Betabucker, I want to be with Chad but I need to convince him to treat me with a bare minimum of respect once I get into his harem'.
