The greatest Threat to the Feminine Imperative is men becoming self-aware of their own sexual market value and the dissemination of information about how the imperative uses this lack of awareness to perpetuate itself. The first recourse to prevent this is male-specific ridicule and derision for even attempting to explain the social constructs of the feminine imperative.

Anybody here on the red pill notice how people on other subs respond to you when you attempt to discuss red pill ideas?

notice how people on other subs respond
I noticed this post, by you, when it was linked on subredditdrama and the responses remind me of what I see in abortion debates. One side has this picture in their head of an eight-month-old fetus with ten fingers, ten toes, a beating heart, and the ability to withdraw in pain from the surgeon's instrument during abortion. So they say, "dude, that's totally murder." But the other side has this picture in their head of a two-day-old blastocyst that's microscopic and undifferentiated. So when they hear someone talk about murder, they just think that person is crazy.
These people are talking past each other. That's what I see in the comment linked above.

Except in the case of the friendzone, you can accurately determine what went wrong and what his motivations were. In the case of abortion (I am pro-choice) it's rather difficult to draw a line to say where life starts.

it's rather difficult to draw a line to say where life starts.
I disagree, life started about 3.5 billion years ago. It's kind of ridiculous to say that life starts at conception or to say that it starts at birth.
But I realize this is OT for this board. For the record, I'm not only pro-choice, I'm pro-infanticide.
in the case of the friendzone, you can accurately determine what went wrong and what his motivations were.
This is why I think there's a parallel to the abortion debate. You're talking about one thing - one kind of person, and they are talking about something else - a different kind of person.
You're talking about a normal, average guy. He has morals and values. He's polite. He pays his taxes. He's kind to everyone. And you narrate this thoughts about his failures with women.
But the image they have in their head is of an asshole. This might be projection, or it might simply be that they've got a lot of experience dealing with assholes (sort of like how a guy that goes to bars a lot will get jaded about women, thinking all women are like those they've met in bars). At any rate, they hear your narration, but they imagine it coming from that asshole. They assume he's only ever nice to women, only nice when he wants sex, and they assume that he feels entitled to sex.
So, like the pro-choicers listing to pro-lifers, they assume you're nuts.

Oh, well I agree on that. There was a post not too long ago that really put it in smart terms..
Something along the line of this:
The reason women think that nice guys are just manipulative and trying to get sex is because women are inherently solipsistic. When women are overly nice, they are trying to get something, so they cannot internalize the idea that most nice-guy men were just raised to be pushovers and were told that would lead to relationships.
In the argument of the nice-guy debacle, the women's version of nice-guys doesn't really exist. The only guys manipulating women into sex aren't being all that nice.
The solipsism argument is also why I think women call us misogynists. The feminism movement is based in hatred of men. They can't fathom that we would start our own movement subverting their strategy that isn't based in hatred.

There's a post on subreddit drama about it if you're interested. Apparently, someone found a picture of a mod dressed up like my little pony and he went ballistic.
It's back open to the public now.

Like a 3 year old in a candy store whose mommy won't let him buy anything...

Yup. Feminine imperative thinking manifests itself and they get indignant. Rollo touched on this in the blog post about how unplugging people is messy business and can best be thought of as triage in how few can be saved. Discussing RP ideas with friends over the years confirms his observation. Case in point, look at the downvotes this post is getting:

Well, you kinda just dropped the bomb like that. I see it a lot around here and it's a failure in proper calibration. To people who can't understand that viewpoint at all you shock them and they instantly clam up on the defensive. How do you like jumping into ice cold water on a summer day? You came off as righteous and combative and if that was the only post of yours I've seen I'd guess that I would hate to talk to you in person. Calibration.

I don't see anything at this link. Changed my preferences and still see nothing. Does anyone have the comment or how I can view it?

Looks like they deleted it. Here's what it said:
And people wonder why /r/seduction and /r/theredpill exists. Breaking free of feminine imperative thinking is tough to do, as evidenced by the downvotes this post will probably get.

Pretty good article and video that highlights the challenges the manosphere faces with the mainstream media.

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
He that sticks his fingers in and goes lalalalala, can go fuck himself.

Beat me to the punch, thanks for this post.
Patrice O'neal touched on this a bit. Your happiness is the game, the nice guy way is the girl's way.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
RPS already sort of touched on it, but why is it that the "relationship expert" and the castrated host can ridicule men for looking at body language and social patterns of people and utilize them to their utmost ability?
George's comment, quickly dismissed, echoes what I just said too.
The guy on the panel, Nathan, is obviously not ready to open his eyes. All it is gonna take is one instance of infidelity by his girlfriend or the eventual dissolve of his future marriage to make him realize.
As for George, he's fighting an uphill battle on this one. No one wants to hear these things because simply put they are a threat to the natural order of things. There's been a set of talons sunk into the way guys think. We aren't objectifying women, betas are. We are simply figuring them about and not really giving a fuck what they are outside our intentions. It's sort of a planned indifference. Apparently, that's dangerous.
