Men's workplaces are highly competitive, respect is earned, not assumed, weakness is punished, not protected.

That's a strange thing to say. If we're talking about hunter-gatherers, why would it be like that? All the other men are related to me, probably quite closely. Why would I not love my brothers, uncles, father, and grandfathers? Why would I not protect my nephews and sons and cousins?

Weaknesses are constantly looked for and immediately mocked. My friends act no differently.

This is a recent innovation, we can thank the Prussians for it, and it bloomed in the late 19th and early 20th century because the Prussian school system was adopted by every other industrialized nation. Young boys were all marched into classrooms with boys their own age and given no good male role models, when the teacher was male he was more of a drill sergeant than a father figure.

And so instead of boys becoming real men, they turned into some laughable caricature of it, more concerned with sexual conquest than fidelity to a wife, more interested in machismo than paternity. We've already had a century of this nonsense, it's time to let it go.

A non-hostile work environment does not produce the best from men, they need criticism and adversity in which to thrive.

Even as much as this is true, the criticism shouldn't be hostile, nor the adversity from within.

Humanity lived like the Himba for 99.9% of existence.

That is an inaccurate, generalised statement. "99.9% of existence" actually is just false. What makes up homo sapiens are behavioral traits, like language, culture and social hierarchy. So they have been part of humankind since the very beginning. As a consequence, there have been many societies coexisting all around the world at any given time in history. Of course some of them where similar in their social hierarchy to the Himba. However, others had completely different, complex structures (e.g. the Ancient societies of Greek and the Roman Empire).

Your concluding paragraph seems to make out some kind of conspiracy of womanhood to undermine and restructure dominantly male jobs. You are completely ignoring that where there are different people, there are also different characters and behaviours. Not all men are alike, and neither are all women. You can't just generalise about gender referring to evolutionary developments.

I'm not sure which parts of today's working environment you have problems with, but there are a lot of highly competitive industries out there: sales, finance, politics, entertainment, etc.

Naturally, both men and women would like to work in environments that suit their personalities. Who wouldn't? But no one is going to change the culture of the entire workplace or education system just because you think it would feel good for you. You've got to prove the value of that level of "hostility" and try to show how it betters the organization overall.
