I turned my back on my blue pill life and returned to my earlier forgotten ways a week ago. I was depressed and searching for answers when I found r/TRP.

I made a few minor but significant changes immediately.

1) Stopped complaining to my wife about my job, kids, parents and friends. I keep it to myself. Complaining does no good except to diminish you in front of your woman.

2) I set a couple of goals; to eat better, to lose weight, to get things done.

3) Stop asking her for her input/permission, keep things mysterious: I realized when I had an idea I would put it in front of my wife. Most of the time she would debate me on the idea and it wouldn't get done. Now I act unilaterally. My wife asked me on Friday what I want to do this weekend. I told her I wanted to powerwash, sand, and stain the deck. This took her by complete surprise. I could feel the loins tingling. Powerwashing and sanding is done, staining happens tomorrow.

4) Be present and be helpful. I put down my phone and interact more with my kids, I clear the dishes and wash them, I take the kids off her hands when I run errands. She thanked me a half dozen times yesterday for giving her a few hours of peace.

5) Slow down on the internet porn and take it out on the wife :) . This weekend she's given me more go signals than the last four months combined.

6) When she gives me Shit Tests, adopt Amused Mastery. Like a boss.

The result is that I'm getting great signals from her. She doesn't exactly understand what's going on (keep it a mystery) but she likes it. It's been an immediate u-turn and skies are brighter, air is fresher.
