This is just so we can all get on the same page. If we assume that the HB Scale follows a standard normal distribution (bell curve), we come up with the following percentiles:

  • HB1 = 0.01%
  • HB2 = 0.44%
  • HB3 = 5.4%
  • HB4 = 24.2%
  • HB5 = 39.9%
  • HB6 = 24.2%
  • HB7 = 5.4%
  • HB8 = 0.44%
  • HB9 = 0.01%

Analysis:

HB10's are so rare that they are statistically non-existent (or they don't exist at all, depending on which school of thought you choose to believe). Either way, they effectively represent 0% of women.

HB1's are the bottom 0.01% of women, and 9's are the top 0.01% of women. So the next time you think of describing a woman as being HB9, ask yourself if you really think she would be the best looking woman out of a group of 10,000 random women. HB9's are so rare that most of us will never sleep with one. HB8's, on the other hand, represent 0.44% of women, which is the best looking woman in a room of about 228 random women. It's much more plausible that you can bed an HB8 at some point.

HB5's are dead average, and they represent 39.9% of the female population. Being average means that there are just as many women better looking than them as there are worse looking than them. Being an HB6+ means that she is in the top 30% of women, being an HB4 or less means she is in the bottom 30% of women.

In TRP, we are shooting to be in the top 20% (minimum) of men, which puts you right around a 6.5 on the HB scale. If you want to sleep with an HB7 or better, you're talking about a woman who is in about the top 6%. You better get your SMV into the top 10% of men if you want that. If you can get into the top 5%, you can sleep with pretty much any woman you want.
