I feel that most men on TRP fundamentally misunderstand frames and instead of presenting ideas of mutual seduction to a woman they become a hard, faux alpha with low SMV that instead of doing well with women, just lose friends and isolate people.

A frame is a social idea or construct that an person holds to. Examples.

A Police officer will use for to affect an arrest if the suspect does not comply. A store owner expects to be payed for the items that people take from his store. An artist sees himself as the best artist in the world. A man believes that being kind and supplicating is what women want.

Some frames are held up and enforced by society. Some frames require a person to be a social isolate to maintain. Some frames are simply incorrect but still held as social norms.

Frame control, in effect, is a persons ability, willpower, or determination to "Hold" their frame.

A criminal believes he will never go back to prison, no matter what. A thief believes they can take what they want from a store without consequence. Another man believes HE is the best artist in world. A woman believes a sexy, smooth, dominant man is what she wants.

If these people encounter each other, somebody will hold frame and somebody will break. The man will be arrested, or he will evade escape. The thief will make off with his goods unnoticed, or he will be arrested and held accountable. One artist will be beaten and the other one will be the best. The man will be rejected by the woman, or he will take her home (Which is unlikely because his frame doesnt support this idea, and hers only has space for "alpha" males."

To establish a frame one must simply present an idea and see how interacts with another's frame. If they differ, one persons frame will break and one will hold. If they fit, it will be a smooth interaction.

A man will always have sex on the first date without paying. A woman will not have sex with a man on the first date, especially if he doesnt pay. Either the man is getting laid that night, or he will surrender his frame.

Now lets bring it to reality.

A personal example would be most of the women I've been with since my seperation from my wife were women who were separated, divorced, married, or in committed relationships. In these interactions, i am considered solely on my short term mating characteristics. I have no chance, reason, or opportunity to frame myself as a provider, so the frame is set for me.
