This is incredibly sad. The fact that he's in tears and talking about how he was raped by some girl he doesn't even know is seen as funny? Also, kind of fucked up for his friend to start filming as he's talking about this with tears in his eyes.

Now, I'm wondering if they're crying because they legitimately find it funny or if they're not sure how to handle a situation and are trying to 'laugh it off.'

Part of the reason he's not completely freaking the fuck out and going apeshit like a woman would is because men are indoctrinated to not socially construct occurences like these as rapes and are simultaneously indoctrinated to take responsibility and claim agency over any sexual activity that happens to them, meaning if a woman sexually assaults them, it's the man's fault for somehow being irresponsible or weak, or he should be happy it happened and view himself as lucky. I noticed this because I was disturbed at my own reaction to having my ass or dick grabbed without solicitation in various instances; each time, I found it amusing and non-threatening . . . but then I reflected upon these emotions and wondered why I felt them.

I'd say though, indoctrination aside, that as a man, there may be a natural tendency to not abreact as much, especially if we are bigger and stronger; the sexual contact, while unwanted and unsolicited, is never really threatening because we feel in control and that we can terminate it at any time. If you are a scrawny little guy and the woman has a fetish for you and is bigger than you, not so much. But if you're a bigger ogre, what's your excuse if the woman rapes you? Here it gets more complicated . . . . I guess you could say that you're weak-minded and suggestible. On the other hand, in a relationship, sex sometimes just seems like it happens with little to any premeditation, like if you and your GF wake up in the middle of the night and just start going at it. So by that reasoning, if you're a big brute who feels he was raped, even if you're a smart big brute, you can feel like the girl somehow "mind-controlled" you to get you to do something you didn't really want to, and from a neuro-chemical point of view, this is more or less what happens in a lot of regret rape scenarios: the aggressor party knows, either intuitively, or through logic and or experience, that certain actions will increase the likelihood of getting laid: isolation, kino, mind-uninhibiting substances and settings, etc. and the party being aggressed on is either unaware, lulled into a false sense of security, or ambivalent. And this is also why a lot of people find PUA problematic.

This is actually a problem that actual feminists are trying to stop. (Not to be confused with feminazis) Guys can get raped. It's horrific and the victim should get whatever aid they need, be it medical attention or therapy. This comment section is sickening.... like, how can you victim blame like that? How can you just ignore this as a general problem? Men get raped. It's one of the most underreported crimes in the US. Stop ignoring this kind of stuff. If we had real gender equality then it would be reported instead of mocked.

The other guy laughed because the story sent the group into "uncharted waters" so to speak.

He didn't know how to respond in a group-acceptable manner. Taking it too seriously could lead to a loss of social status if the guy telling the story was laying it out there as an ambush.

So he did the safest thing he could do with the info he had: he made light of it.

I'd like to think that he calmed down once the camera was off and his friend stopped giving mixed signals such as smiling and nervously laughing.

If he kept on ribbing the other guy, then I hope he got his ass beat.

I guess the real issue here is not that it happened. IMO this seems like a case (though admittedly I know nothing about this case so could be very wrong) where he was verbally pressured into sex, as a pose to physically constrained. Which I don't think is all that bad, I mean its not good but let's be realistic fucked shit happens all the time and the world can't bend over backwards every time to fix every act of foul play that occurs. I think the issue is that if it happened to a woman then there would be hell to pay. And that is not what equality is supposedly about.

It ain't hard to put a couple of drops of Visine in your eyes and then tell your buddies to roll camera. Tears will stream and your eyes will bug out, just like this. The fact that he also looks like he wants to burst out laughing doesn't help either.

I would estimate a 75% chance this video is a troll job, with only 25% that it might be real.
