Long time lurker, first time poster, so please be kind.

There are many different topics I see here on TRP, and it's alarming how accurate it all is. It's completely changed how I read human behavior as a result of their tendencies. Here's the problem, and being the idiot I am, I learned it the hard way.

Just because you know something doesn't mean you have to say it.

Knowledge is knowing tomato is a fruit, and wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad. That's the gist of what I'm trying to say here. Not everyone outside of TRP understands things the way we do and has a very different outlook on the world. Some of these ideas will put others on edge, and could permanently mar your reputation, getting labeled sexist, misogynist, or worse. It's terribly unfair, but sometimes the truth hurts, and it's not a pain many are willing to endure. So be wise, and shut up when you need to. Think what you want, but act like everyone else.

Cheers

EDIT: Damn it. Seems like this post is devolving really quickly into a discussion on fruit. But I still think it holds some weight. For example:

I don't know; I'd say wisdom is knowing to stay the fuck away from fruit salad altogether. I especially hate that combination of fruit, nuts and marshmallows, yuck.

You're right. Metaphorically speaking, you make a very good point. If the environment you're in is negative and is increasingly hostile to your thoughts/opinions, leave it. Their loss. You can't make everyone happy, so the best way to go at it is to make yourself content, and that starts with cutting ties with all the negativity in your life.
