About a month or so ago, my ex-girlfriend and I separated mutually. She's taking a job across the country and I'm leaving for a nuclear engineering program with the Navy. We'd been dating for nearly three years, just decided that at this point in our lives it'd be easier to avoid getting tied down.

With that preface, I downloaded the Tinder app just for fun. Just wanted to see what kinds of matches I'd get and to be honest, I'd always wanted to download it. Had a few matches, chatted up a few girls, whatever. Nothing serious.

One day, got a match with this girl and hit it off immediately. Made jokes about movies we both liked, finished each other's quotes, etc. etc. By the end of the evening, she'd asked me for my last name and phone number so we could text instead. We've been doing that for about four days now.

I decided to ask her on a real date, so I did. At which point she tells me that she's recently gotten out of a relationship and isn't really looking for anything right now, but that she thinks I'm really funny, really nice and fun to talk to. And according to her swipe on Tinder, she finds me attractive.

We're planning to meet up at a bar for drinks next Tuesday. But I'm not sure what to expect. Frankly, I'm worried that I'm playing the 'nice guy' role by complimenting her and basically accompanying her through this breakup phase. Then when she's feeling better, she'll either permanently friendzone me or just discard me.

Should I wait it out until Tuesday, or just get the fuck out? Thanks, Redpill.
