That's what I'd say, although "why not" is more funny and cocky, I would prefer this line. Because it bounces the ball back in her court and is an implied neg. Now she will probably be compelled to reply to you "and was I?" or something similar, which is an act of qualifying herself to you - now you're the judge of her, reasserted superior position leading to more playful vagina tingles.

If you can frame it like that, your next step is pull any excuse out of your ass for you two to hang out 1:1 in the evening, and have some kind fun activity together, following which you try to smoothly lead it into sex.
