Always see her at the library. Always. But never got the chance to approach. Today, my buddy spotted her studying alone in a lecture room near the library. I decided to go in and approach. So I went in, went up to her and said: "Hey I always see you! What's your name? I thought you were cute." "My name is Shaima. Nice to meet you." Then we exchanged year of study, program. We're in the same program. She was actually studying for a midterm, so we talked about that for a bit. But then she revealed that she's actually in third year. I didn't want to lie, so I was very honest and told her I was in first year. I decided to sit down on a chair in front of her (she was sitting in the teacher's desk). Then I just straight up said: "Hey we should grab a drink sometime!" Unfortunately, she said that she's "kinda seeing someone". I was caught off guard and didn't know what to say, she continued: "but we can be friendssss!!" For some reason, I said: "nawwww, I'm good!" Her face was PRICELESS, like wut? I don't even know where that came from, but I think it was my subconsciousness telling me not to fall into the friendzone. Looking back now, I should've ignored that and kept pushing for a date: "oh come on, it's just a drink!" Anyway, I continued by getting her number. I don't exactly remember what I said, but I think I said something along the lines of "let me get your number" and I just handed her my phone and she obliged and typed her number in. I can't remember what happened after I got the number but I did leave almost immediately. She wished me luck on my midterms and I wished her luck on hers and left. My question now is: what can I do with this number? should i send a first text? or is it a lost cause? The fact that she gave me her number even after telling me she's kinda seeing someone gives me hope lol! Plus, I swear to god, when I saw her in the past, I could saw her checking me out!
