I don't want to get into detail about me but I'm a young guy that recently broke up with my first girlfriend because cheated on me, literally while talking to me on the phone. I'm heartbroken but still love her and am having a hard time getting over it all I think about her all day every day its torture. It honestly feels exactly like how I felt when loved ones died except worse since it was voluntary pain on her part and she's still out there. Even though she quickly started fucking other guys and forgot about me. Coming here for answers helps but I'm having such a hard time accepting that all women are like this and I'll never have that warm comfortable feeling that I thought was true with my first relationship again.

Is it all really a lie am I just supposed to accept that no woman will ever love me how I love them? That loyalty is not even something that crosses their mind? I desire that connection more than anything but reading the posts here and having my own experiences with being cheated on, seeing my friends cheat on their boyfriends, and the fact that the majority of girls I've had sex with have all had boyfriends(karma I know) makes me think that the relationship fantasy I have in my mind is just that. A fantasy. What mindset allows you guys accept these facts of life so easily? Is it even worth trying again I do not feel emotionally stable enough to deal with this multiple times.
