Some background for you real quick. When she and I were involved (BP me thought it was dating; was definitely a beta-orbiter), I was cringe-worthy in every respect with this gal. She had me on a leash and I was lapping it up. Things fell apart about a decade ago when we went to different colleges, but our paths recently crossed again. On a more personal level, she was responsible for ingraining a lot of the BP traits that held me down. She's recently divorced but has taken immaculate care of herself in that decade and is an easy 8.

I'm much more interested in the RPLTR side of things, and she is absolutely not LTR material. But since this opportunity literally just fell into my lap, I figured I'd scope out advice from the plate spinning side of RP.

If you were in my shoes, how would you play it? We have a dinner set up for later in the week to catch up and I think I've been aces in conversing with her (direct, succinct, in control of the situation, literally everything BP me wasn't). My gut tells me her hamster is putting out more horsepower than a Pinto right now and she's looking for me to take up the beta-orbiter mantle again since she's coming off a divorce (and her religion is extremely caustic towards divorce). Obviously, that's not happening, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to turn the tables on her and be the one holding the leash to kill time while looking for an actual LTR candidate.

Thoughts? Opinions? Previously successful stratagem?
