I am in no position to be turning down women, but I did and I'm curious about the results.

Went out with a large group of people, and I overheard a chick talking about how she is polyamorous and about her 3 boyfriends. Later that night, someone introduces her to me.

My immediate response is repulsion. I don't want a chick who actively markets herself as riding the CC or taking advantage of poor Betas.

She is immediately interested in me, and it became a battle of the frames. She tried all the escalation tactics a man would use: isolated me from the group, sex talk, kino. I played along to see if interest would arise from my side, but I did not find her appealing and made it clear that I do not approve of polyamory.

What I did not expect is that my actions seemed to rocket my status to the stars in the rest of the group. By rejecting this chick, it was like I opened the door to all the other women in the group. Several others approached me throughout the night, I got numbers, and a few whose number I didn't get got my number from others.

Now, I'm brand new to TRP. I could have easily closed with bringing any of them home, but I didn't because I am a beta and I didn't know any better. (I've since corrected for this)

But now I am curious as to what happened that night. How was it that rejecting the assertive polyamorous alpha female of the group made it such that the other women saw me as more attractive?

If I had to take a guess, it's because I made it clear that I'm high value enough to have standards. But I'm curious if there's more to the social dynamic than this.
