I have been in a few LTR relationships and when it comes to breaking up, I always do it the same way. Text message or over a phone call. I never do it in person. Why?

  • Women tend to say shit I don't want to hear "You ruined my life. I changed everything for you. I was ready to start a family. I hate you!". All this shit is just to make me feel bad. Had they been better girlfriends and I wouldn't need to break up.
  • They cry, a lot! Then they yell. These are 2 things I don't like. I don't like to see/make women cry and I don't like to have the neighbours or everyone around me (e.g. at a bar) looking and judging me because she is drowning in tears.
  • I don't see what's to be gained by breaking-up in person. By phone/text I control the situation. Conversation ends when I want. In person, conversation never ends. It's just a fucking long period of crying/screaming/begging.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON I talked with this about (guys and girls) all gave me that "You are a scumbag" look. They all said it's a question of respect. That you should never break with someone over text, but in person.

I don't see it that way though. I don't think it's about respect. It's about making an awkward situation, less awkward. It's about saving mine and her dignity. It's about truly putting an end to things. No "let's talk about it".

What's TRP opinion?
