I had a date set up with a girl I met on Bumble and mentioned it to one of my buddies. Well it turns out he hooked up with her. That wasn't a big deal at the time but what threw me off was that they had met off the same app and according to him he got her over with a another girl and he had filmed a bunch of shit and was showing it around to everyone at the table. At the time I was grossed out and felt a bit stupid because I was trying to set up like a low key date that didn't really have any sexual undertones, just a walk around a market/park and a coffee. To the boys I was like "oh good news she'll put out for sure" and laughed it off but she was immediately downgraded to just a lay from that point on. Anyways she was double checking the day before and I said we were still on but then I decided to cancel 4/5 hours before.

I know that acting like a provider or a nice guy isn't how you get laid, but I wanted to take a nice cutie to the park and hang out... at the same time I don't want to be the park hangout guy when other dudes are finger blasting them on video on the first date. Should I have changed tactics and tried to smash mid afternoon at the park? Should I have just gone on the date anyways? I had no interest in a relationship after hearing about her past so that just seems pointless for both of us.
