I'll try and keep it short. An old plate came back in to my life after almost a year about a week ago. We've hung out a few times, cuddled, kissed, and did all the lovey dovey shit a couple would do. Today I sent her a text saying how I didn't want anything serious, but also didn't want to be "just friends". I wanted to be upfront about my intentions. She texted back saying she wanted strictly friendship but she has fun hanging out with me and likes seeing me. I didn't text it but I was wondering when I ever did all that lovey dovey shit with "just a friend", because I never have. It's always been more than friendship. I respectfully declined her friendship offer and told her I would see her around. Did I handle this the right way? Was this some kind of test? She says the attraction isn't mutual but her actions have been different. Should I have just rolled with it and tried to push for something more, or is that a waste of time?
