First time I've ever asked someone out. I said, "what are you doing 'x day' at 'y time'?" She said, "I won't be doing anything". So, I said, "Great, come with me to this event then". Now, this is an outside event so she immediately said it'll be cold and she didn't know. Therefore, after some small talk, I said, "give me an answer tomorrow so I can make plans with other people if you aren't going." Then, I walked away.

My plan is to get a definitive answer tomorrow and next if it isn't a yes. But, I wanted to know if I could've said something else to her "I don't know". I also want to know if instead of leaving it with "give me a real answer tomorrow", if I should've offered an alternative place or done what I did.

Any opinion would be great. I feel pretty good after getting that out of the way. Thanks trp.
