It was unconstitutional before for the simple fact that only a small percentage of people in a combat zone are infantry combat troops. The other 80% or so are support personnel that make the war machine go. So they could have been drafted but just not put into combat arms units.

Since 80% isn’t in combat arms units then logic would dictate as well as military regs and federal laws that women can do all those other jobs, generally speaking. So instead of putting guys in support jobs that could be easily filled by females you add them to the draft like it should have been from the first day women entered military service way back when and that then frees up the swinging dicks for the front lines.

Anyways - bout time they got this ball rolling.
