Why do some people do this? They either reject you or something, and still expect you to run after them. What’s the point? And if someone actually continued to do this, wouldn’t the rejecter say something like, “He’s making me uncomfortable”, or “he doesn’t know when to stop”.

Not only is this just plain mean to the man, but it is a danger to the majority of women who don't do stuff like this. Let's imagine a man who is single, and looking to date. Let's call him Joe. If Joe asks a girl out, and she says no, normally he would back off and move on. BUT. Joe read on the internet that this may mean she's actually interested in him and is playing games. He then goes to continue asking her out and talking to her, causing her to report him for sexual harassment(and rightfully so). Joe then gets in trouble.

While this probably happens very rarely, it just shows the issue with women like this.
