I might be overthinking things, but running standard openers/routines would seem to be ignoring the elephant in the room (it's fucking NYE 2013 whooooo!). Similarly, there are far more distactions for the girl (way more friends, celebration, countdown, etc).

Does this require a different strategy? Should openers be run different (for example, more situational?).
