Went for a woman that was in the dying stages of her last relationship. Told her we'd just hang out, as making moves on her didn't really gel between her and I, even if things were rocky with her relationship.

Once she broke it off with her guy, we started talking more and established mutual feelings out in the open. She says she wasn't ready for another relationship yet, and that her feelings for me weren't enough to pursue one yet. She told me she didn't want to say "no" to me, but saying "yes" to dating me was still a hard decision for her. She may or may not be leaving for grad school in March and likes the feeling of being independent for now.

I stop regularly pursuing her for about 2 months (last summer), even not talking to her for a good month. Once I bring up our situation, she tells me she just considers me a "great friend." She barely holds up her part of the friendship. I've seen her once in the past 6 months. I still don't really know how she feels.

Some background: I started a band around the time her and I first started hanging out last Spring (I've been doing music since I was 13. I'm 26 now). Since then, my band has gathered a small and growing fanbase playing shows every week. I'm constantly meeting new women because of this, making new friends and garnering attraction from older platonic relationships. She fails to show to any of our gigs, or usually she'll find an unclever way to flake on plans.

Since then I've gained some options, maybe not for an LTR, but I've become more social from the mere fact I'm playing in front of 30-40 people once a week, with some approaching me afterwards. The fact that this ONE person hasn't seen me perform once, or showed any sincere interest in my music greatly bothers me. I'm guessing it's just my ego being bruised?

She still manages to worm her way into my life via IM/Facebook/Txt even if I go for long stretches of no contact. I try not to reply.

My question is: Is it a matter of just going on with my life? Waiting for her to cease contact?
