1. Sunday night me and the crew hit up a gay bar because we never go to that district and thought it would be fun. We were killing it on the dance floor and for some reason decided to take a break and go outside. As I was walking back into the club from being outside I passed an HB 8 in the doorway. I immediately grabbed her hand and held it. It was a very brief but intense interaction that was mostly non-verbal. The verbals consisted of her complimenting me and me trying to figure out what she was doing, i.e. logistics. Non-verbals consisted of strong sexual eye contact, holding hands and playing with each other's clothes. After about 30 seconds, her friend literally pulled her out and away. She stumbled into the sidewalk and they walked away. In retrospect, I should have addressed the friends as soon as this happened and said something like, "Hey, we like each other. Don't mess this up for your friend."

  2. Monday night, dollar PBR night at the hipster bar. There was a group of girls that I knew. I had been on a date with one of them but it went badly. She was on a date at the time that I saw them on Monday. This could have been awkward, but I made sure it wasn't. I actually liked a different girl in the group better anyway. I used a routine that a friend had come up. I basically told her that it seems to me that people use masks to hide their real personalities and that I like to be around people who have as little filters and masks as possible. It worked well. I didn't close her, because another girl that I've been working on came into the bar around that time and I didn't want her to see me macking on girl #1.
